Clarke Paige and LaDon Paige, Central Bark Amarillo

Clarke Paige, born and raised in Amarillo, has always been an animal lover, especially dogs. His first dog, a dachshund named Buddy, was given to him as a child and was loved throughout his life. Clarke and his mom, LaDon, are Central Bark Amarillo business partners – the first mother/son team in the system to become franchise owners.

Clarke is married to his middle school sweetheart, Hannah, and they have a son, Reeves (3). Clarke currently has two miniature blue-merle Australian Shepherds named Joey (aka Jo Jo) & Jersey and would take 100 more if Hannah would allow it!

In addition to loving dogs, Clarke is an avid musician and writes, records and releases music regularly. In addition, he performs in venues around Amarillo and has hundreds of videos on YouTube. When he’s not playing music, Clarke loves to spend his time with his wife, son & pups at home playing and relaxing together or with his Dad, watching television and talking about music.

Fun fact: Clarke has been obsessed with Coffee and Ethiopia since a young teen and drinks his Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee iced until at least the early afternoon.

Amarillo resident and mom to sons Clay and Clarke, LaDon Paige’s favorite thing is having her four grandsons over to play. Her son Clark is also the second half of the franchisee partnership and are the only mother/son franchisee team in the (42)-unit system. Clay and Clarke are both married to what LaDon calls her “daughter in loves”, Taylor and Hannah. LaDon also has three grand dogs, Joey, Jersey and Gunner.

Prior to purchasing the Central Bark Amarillo franchise, LaDon was employed as a surgical RN specializing in orthopedic and neurosurgery. After both of her sons were born, she was fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom going back to work when the boys started high school. She worked in the medical field until 2008 where she purchased an antique mall on Historic Rt. 66 in Amarillo. She. sold it in 2016 in order to purchase three Vintage Market Days franchises with her daughter-in-law Hannah in Mobile, Birmingham, and Huntsville, Alabama. LaDon conducts estate sales for friends, as well as teaching a Women’s Bible Study Class for the last fifteen years.

LaDon and Steve (her Mister) love to travel, entertain, go to classic rock concerts, and spend time with their families.

Central Bark: More than 20 years of puppy love.

Our journey started in the mid-1990s, as we sought to provide a healthy and happy life for our furbabies while balancing the demands of family and work. So we created Central Bark, where our dogs could get exercise, have fun and socialize in a safe environment. Our dogs were happier and healthier, our families felt more peaceful and loving, and our communities had a hub for like-minded dog lovers.

More than 20 years later, some things have evolved, but our mission remains the same: To nurture and enrich whole health, happiness and unconditional love for each dog, family, and community we serve.

“We believe every dog and every family deserve the Central Bark experience.”
